A big thank you for supporting our festival, and thanks to all the people that have come forward and promised help for next year. Sunday was fantastic, I know a lot of people didn't realise this event was on (I'm on that for next year). there was a real nice vibe the sun shone and fun was had by all. Monday was a rich blend of fun and wonder with super acts, activities galore. The Lantern Parade was very well attended (big thanks to all who took part) a bit of a false start but we managed to get all sixty lanterns across the field just in time for the most awesome firework display. We listened to your comments last year and put more funds into this spectacular finale. roll on next year folks x

This year's Irlam and Cadishead Community Festival finishes with another spectacular fireworks displays.

The show starts at 9pm on Monday 30th August. Please get down to the park for 8.50pm to get a good viewing point.

Enjoy Silcocks Fair throughout the evening.

60 Years of Celebration in Irlam and Cadishead

Come and join our Diamond Anniversary in Prince's Park this August Bank Holiday Monday.

The fun stretches over two days starting on Sunday the 29th at 2pm with a Picnic in the Park - featuring top local bands.

On Monday the 30th - the annual car boot sale kicks off at 9am. The main festival events start at 12.30 and as usual the festival concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm ( get there early to get a good view). Silcocks Fair will be open all day Sunday and Monday.

Kawa Circus comes to Irlam

Kawa Music was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to the promotion of the music and art of Rajasthan in Northern India, a fusion of live music, dance, puppetry, theatre and circus skills. Featured artists include a delightful dancer, Supki, three vibrant street performers, an acrobat, Viram, an acrobat and pole-vaulter, Raju, an acrobat and funambulist, Jagpal, and a musician.

Kawa Circus tells the story of an itinerant troupe of artists from a Rajasthani circus arriving with all their material and happiness in rhythms and music.

While seated themselves, the public immediately shares the intimacy of this company, with the tyrannical director, the mesmerizing traditional dancer, the joyful acrobat and funambulist like a film star, the naïve but concerned acrobat and pole-vaulter and the musician always laughing at his colleagues. The show starts with several breathless tricks constantly disturbed by tiffs and other personal matters, working the anger of the director off on his artists, who finally have the last word.

There will be three performances throughout Bank Holiday Monday - August 30th Princes Park, Irlam

Don't wear your best clothes or bring a apron..it can get a bit messy...look forward to seeing you there.
